Built for mould, die & toolroom manufacturers
The operating system for your toolroom.
Toolrooms still run on spreadsheets and phone calls. ToolroomOS gives every job one live record, from enquiry to delivery.
The toolroom today
Every job has dozens of parts. Each one is tracked somewhere different.
Quotes in one file, BOMs in another, orders in email, the plan on a whiteboard and paperwork in a template. Someone always asks the same question: where is that part now?
How it works
One job. One thread. Every station.
Follow a single order through today’s core modules. Each step picks up exactly where the last one stopped, and every new module joins the same thread.
-
01
Enquiry
Drop in the customer's STEP file. ToolroomOS reads every part, works out sizes and shapes, builds the bill of materials and prepares the quotation. Save it as a PDF named after the quote ref.
-
02
Design
Sort parts into your categories, assign materials and item codes, and review each one in 3D with its actual and stock dimensions drawn on the box. Changes save as you go.
-
03
Purchase
Stock sizes become purchase orders by vendor. Receipts are booked against each line, so production knows exactly what material is in the building.
-
04
Production
Plan every operation, in-house machine or outside vendor, on a board or a table. Each team finishes its own category, and machine load is shown as you pick.
-
05
Dispatch
Raise GST-format delivery challans and pickup requests with addresses, HSN and value, then track each part at every vendor until it comes back complete.
The platform
Modules on top. One shared core underneath.
Every ToolroomOS module reads and writes the same parts, people and documents. Nothing is exported, re-typed or reconciled between departments, and each new module joins the same core.
Modules
Use one app, or the whole toolroom.
Each module stands on its own and shares the same parts, people and sign-in with the rest. New modules plug into the same platform as your shop grows.

Solutions
Built for the way your shop actually works.
Categories, operations, machines and vendors are yours to configure, so the same platform fits a mould shop, a press-tool room or a mouldbase line without custom code.
Every plate, pillar and insert, accounted for.
Read the customer's assembly, size stock for each plate and round, and follow every part through milling, grinding and heat treatment until the tool is assembled.
- Assembly STEP files read part by part
- Actual and stock sizes on a 3D box
- Outside operations tracked by vendor
- Plan released category by category
Punches, plates and strippers through every outside step.
Press tools lean on heat treatment, wire cut and grinding vendors. Raise GST-format challans per vendor and see what is out, where, and since when.
- Job-work challans with HSN and value
- E-way bill details checked as regulations require
- One challan per part until it comes back
- Received and completed dates per stage
Standard plate sets, quoted and bought in minutes.
Repeat sizes and materials are where mouldbase makers win or lose margin. Keep one item-code master and turn stock sizes straight into vendor purchase orders.
- Item-code master with instant search
- Quotes from STEP, saved as PDF
- POs grouped by vendor and material
- Custom weights where the vendor bills differently
Mixed jobs, one view of the floor.
When every order is different, the plan is the product. Assign each operation to a machine or vendor and see the load building up as you go.
- Board and table planning views
- Machine load while you assign
- Each team completes its own category
- Everything saves as you work
Built on the shop floor
Made by toolroom people, for toolroom people.
ToolroomOS grew inside a working toolroom. Every screen answers a question somebody on the floor actually asked.
- Skip what you don't need. Operations a part doesn't need are skipped, and tracking still follows it correctly.
- Each team owns its category. Rounds, flats and castings are released on their own.
- Every number in one place. Item codes, HSN, challan numbers and vehicle numbers are set once in settings.
- Compliance built in. Challans ask for the transport details GST regulations require, so nothing is missed at dispatch.
Security & governance
Your drawings and prices stay yours.
Customer models, rates and vendor terms are the most sensitive data a toolroom has. ToolroomOS is built so each company sees only its own, and each person sees only the apps they are given.
Consistent documents
Every quote, PO and challan carries the same company details and numbers itself in sequence, set once in settings.
Company-level isolation
Every record belongs to a company, and every request is checked against the company in the user's session, on the server.
Invite-only access
Admins invite people, choose which apps they can open and see when each person last signed in.
Encrypted end to end
HTTPS everywhere, a managed database encrypted at rest, and desktop secrets stored encrypted on disk.
Separate test and live systems
Every change runs in a separate test environment against test data before it reaches your live system.
Nothing lost mid-plan
Plans and reviews save as you work, with a clear "All changes saved" status and time stamp.
Works with what you have
Starts from your files, ends in your paperwork.
No new CAD seat, no data-entry project. ToolroomOS takes the formats your shop already uses and produces the documents your customers, vendors and auditors expect.

Why ToolroomOS
Not another spreadsheet. Not a generic ERP.
General ERPs are built around finished goods and inventory. A toolroom runs on one-off parts, outside operations and drawings. ToolroomOS starts there.
| Spreadsheets & chat | Generic ERP | ToolroomOS | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reads STEP files and sizes stock | No | Rarely | Built in |
| Follows each part through machines and vendors | By phone | With customisation | Built in |
| Job-work challans in GST format | Templates | Usually | Built in |
| Planned around categories and operations | No | With consultants | Configure yourself |
| 3D review without a CAD licence | No | No | In the browser |
Getting started
Live on a real job, not a slide deck.
We set ToolroomOS up around one of your own jobs first, then roll it out team by team.
- 01
Walk a real job
Bring a STEP file or a recent order. We run it through the platform with you.
- 02
Set up your shop
Company, people, categories, operations, machines, vendors and document numbering.
- 03
Bring your masters
Item codes, vendors and rates come in from your existing sheets.
- 04
Go live by team
Start with one module or all of them. Each team switches when it is ready.
Who is ToolroomOS for?
Mould makers, die and press-tool makers, mouldbase manufacturers and precision job shops: any toolroom that builds one-off parts from drawings and sends work to outside vendors.
Do we have to install anything?
No. ToolroomOS runs in the browser. Enquiry is also available as a Windows desktop app for heavy STEP files.
Can we start with one module?
Yes. Each module works on its own and shares the same data, so you can add the rest when you are ready.
We run more than one company. Does that work?
Yes. Each company keeps its own data, settings, numbering and team, and people who work across companies switch between them from the same account.
Is our data kept apart from other customers?
Yes. Every record is tied to its company, and the server checks the signed-in company on every request.
Are delivery challans GST compliant?
Challans follow the job-work format: consignor and consignee GSTIN, HSN, value, place of supply, transport details as GST regulations require, and numbering per financial year.
How is it priced?
By the modules and team size you need. Book a demo and we will send a quote for your shop.
